President's Address (Fall 2013):
With Summer over and our Community Association activities now well on their way, I would like to take the opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Marc Perrault and I am our new president. I look forward to representing our community over the next two years.
This is my fourth year on the EACCA and I have enjoyed working with all of our current and past members. We are excited to provide the best programming we can offer for you and your families. Earlier this fall, we completed our AGM and filled most of the vacant positions. I would like to thank all of you who have volunteered to fill the vacant positions as without you, we would not be able to provide the quality programming that we do. If you were unable to attend the AGM, are new to the community or are interested in getting involved, we still have a few vacant positions to be filled:
1. Social Coordinator: this person plans various events in the community along with the EACCA.
2. Citizens Patrol – we are looking for two volunteers to help recruit and schedule citizens in the community to keep a watch on our parks and recreation areas in the community and keep it safe and accessible to all.
If you are interested in either of these positions, please feel free to contact me for more details.
Finally, I would like to ask that for all of you who are taking advantage of the programs offered, to please remember that everyone on the EACCA are volunteers and we are all giving up our time and efforts for the good of the community. Our Community Association is one of the strongest in the city and it shows by the number of great people that step up every year to volunteer their time and efforts.
